The deadline for abstracts for MoN13: the thirteenth Mathematics of Networks meeting is under a week away (1st August). If you would like to present at this free meeting then please send an abstract [log in to unmask] and keith dot briggs at bt dot com. MoN aims to establish an audience across all disciplines that study networks and it is an excellent place to try out new work or to present established work to a different audience.
The theme of this MoN is "networks in the humanities", talks will be accepted on any topic but those on topic will be given preference. Typically the talks are a 50-50 mix of on and off topic. The meeting itself is at Imperial College on 10th September, attendance is free but you must register beforehand.
Our hosts this year are the Centre for Complexity science. Thanks to Tim Evans for acting as local organiser. MoN13 is supported by the EPSRC UK Network on Emergence and Physics far from equilibrium.
This MoN is being organised to coincide with The Connected Pasthttp://connectedpast.soton.ac.uk/london-2014/. TCP is a one-and-a-half day multi-disciplinary meeting to explore how concepts and techniques from network- and complexity science can be used to study archaeological data. It will be held on 8th and 9th September at Imperial college.
