Just to clarify "make sure though that 1 mm in template space corresponds to 1 mm in world / "true" space, otherwise you have to scale your raw data via "Display"."
Of course 1 mm in template space does NOT have to be 1 mm in world space. Nonetheless, as we can expect your raw data to be in world space with 1 mm corresponding to 1 "true" mm, you have to adjust the raw data then. Sorry for that.
