Does anyone have any experience of an insurance company not paying an employer sick pay to cover for staff sickness due to pre-exiting medical conditions. I have a case where a school teacher is off with depression and the insurance company sated they have writtne to her GP who stated she had this as a pre-existing medical condition so are refusing to pay out??
Seems weird to me - and I am really to sure about consent to access this info from the GP by the insurance company. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated
