Right, we have the following situation:
We have a host (call it host1) which is to run the TIDS, which is *not* externally accessible. It is behind a firewall and has internal IP address 172.23.1.1 (again just an example). The firewall instead forwards the traffic from an externally addressable IP to the internal IP address for host1 and vice versa.
So the question now is, which IP address do I give the TIDS? The internal one (i.e. 172.23.1.1) or the external one? I'm assuming the former? As for the hostname parameter, I'm assuming that the externally accessible hostname is the one to be specified...
