networking in the field of aging at CAG2014: Landscapes of Aging, the
43rd Annual Scientific and Educational Meeting of the Canadian

CAG2014 will be of interest to researchers, practitioners, decision- and
policy-makers, students, older adults, community groups and all others
with an interest in individual and population aging. It is an
interdisciplinary event featuring stimulating sessions across a diverse
range of topics in gerontology and geriatrics. Along with many
thought-provoking symposium, paper, poster and workshop presentations
and networking opportunities, program highlights include:
| Pre-conference events on innovative nutrition strategies for healthy
aging; bringing person-centred care alive in home, community and
long-term care; and aging, cognitive impairment and the dialogue between
research and practice
| Keynote addresses across the social, economic, geographic and global
landscapes of aging from world-renowned researchers and clinicians
| Symposia sessions on fracture prevention in long-term care; barriers
to employment in later life; work-retirement transitions; and vehicle
design considerations for an aging society
| Workshop sessions on engaging seniors in elder abuse awareness and
prevention
| Student and recent graduate events, including a mentorship experience;
a workshop on integrating knowledge translation into your research; a
luncheon with Dr. Yves Joanette, Scientific Director of the CIHR
