Places are still available for the above course starting in October 2014. Part-time and full-time study options are available, and evening only study. Looking closely at the style and meaning of films and television programmes, you will also receive hands-on experience at designing film festivals, and promotional activities. Optional modules include Screen Violence, Film Philosophy, and Screen Performance.
Tutors include:
Dr Steven Peacock, author of ‘Swedish Crime Fiction’ (MUP, 2014), ‘Hollywood and Intimacy’ (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011), and ‘Colour’ (MUP, 2010), and co-editor of ‘Television Aesthetics and Style’ (Bloomsbury, 2013);
Dr Sylvie Magerstadt, specialist research areas: film philosophy, the television epic;
Dr Darren Elliott-Smith, specialist research areas: sexuality and the body on screen, horror and the Fantastic;
Dr Agustin Rico-Albero, specialist research areas: Spanish and Latin American cinema
