We have used the Oculus Rift as a way to enhance the customer experience for a product journey. Unfortunately we cannot say we were the developers publically for this project but I can do privately.
Anyone interested please email or phone and I would be happy to explain what we did with the Oculus Rift.

Subject: [MCG] Oculus Rift in public spaces
Hi all,
My research involves the use of Virtual Reality to document Intangible Cultural Heritage.
As part of this, a VR environment will be shown on the Oculus Rift (DK1) at Bristol's MShed, later this year. This will form part of an exhibition which will run for 5 months (the VR won't run constantly, only at periodic 'show times').
I'd be very interested to hear (on or off list) from anyone who has actually used the Rift in earnest as part of a public exhibition or event.
I'm particularly interested in the logistics e.g. Has anyone beefed up the hardware for extended public display? How ready/reluctant is the public to engage with such unfamiliar technology?
Many thanks in advance.
