Hi Michelle
I think most places are band 6 or Band 7 but it depends on aspects like involvement in policies, budgetary control, staff HR management etc. I am an 8A but my role isn’t just POCT.
Cheers
Michelle

Subject: POCT co-ordinator banding
Dear POCT subsrcibers
I have recently been appointed POCT co-ordinator at Blackpool, and the post is currently up for banding review. It was advertised as a 7, but the managers are hoping for it to become an 8a. Does anyone have any input as to how their role was banded? Were JAQs used, or was the job description written to match the band? I seem to understand that there are a number of band 7 and band 8a POCT co-ordinators throughout the UK.
Regards
Michelle
