Non-clinical Statistician required at AstraZeneca

The role:
Fantastic opportunity for a senior non-clinical statistical scientist to work in our Product Development Department.
The ideal individual will contribute to the function by applying their statistical expertise to drug development processes, enabled by professional credibility and extensive experience of the use of a variety of statistical tools and approaches to resolve challenges in the Pharmaceutical industry
As a senior statistical scientist you will be responsible for:
• The construction of experimental designs that facilitate development of world class products.
• Provide statistical input to the design and analysis of innovative stability programs, design and evaluation of analytical method technology transfers, and assessment/setting of specification limits.”
• Provide statistical input to the design, evaluation and technology transfer of analytical methods
• Provide statistical input to CMC documentation in the late development phase of AZ product submissions.
• Exploitation of cutting edge statistical tools and techniques.
• Providing understanding, through statistical expertise, that influences the development of drug substance and drug product.
• Collaboratively helping to design, develop and implement global best statistical practice in pharmaceutical development.
• Provide statistical advice, coaching and training to support the deployment of Lean Six Sigma in Analytical Science and Pharmaceutical Development.
• Assess, record and report data accurately with a clear understanding of its reliability, interpret findings and draw authoritative conclusions and recommendations so that their significance can be appreciated. Engage customers in development of solutions by applying a broader perspective.
• Apply statistical knowledge to improvement projects and the evaluation of new technology/processes. Collaboration with specialist scientific and/or technology networks within Pharmaceutical Development. Link back to lean six sigma.
