Just had a pushy call from www.canddi.com . They offer to track website visitors, naming them and showing their browsing habits and interests. I assume that they do what Google wont (in public anyway) by matching IP addresses to mined personal data and then selling it. This sounds like a privacy and ethical nightmare, especially for a university. At risk of promoting their service, I would be interested to hear what others think?
