Thursday’s line-up offers 17 optional sessions, including an Industry session on the future of TV news with Samira Ahmed and Dorothy Byrne (Head of News, Channel 4) and Research sessions including Sarita Malik on ‘TV, Race & Creative Diversity’. The day also offers a plenary session with top UK film producer Alison Owen (Saving Mr Banks, Suffragette), a special event with writer Jon Savage (Teenage) and a preview of the multi-award winning new film Ida (Pawel Pawlikowski 2013) with screenwriter Rebecca Lenkiewicz.
Friday offers a further 18 optional Industry, Teaching and Research sessions including a huge array of speakers and subjects, special event with writer and columnist Owen Jones and plenary session with Adam MacDonald (Director of Sky 1 HD). The day closes with free access to selected evening screenings at BFI Southbank.
