The Event:
· We are the Giant (Greg Barker, 2014) – the much-anticipated documentary about activism and the Arab uprisings
· Q&A with Maryam Al-Khawaja, a Bahraini activist featured in the film.
· A panel discussion about the role of film, and social media, in documenting crises and affecting social and political change.
· The panel will bring together academics, activists, and filmmakers specialising in representations of conflict and political filmmaking.
· A Reception will conclude the event at 5.30pm
