*ARLG Eastern invite you to join us for tours of three very different
libraries at the University of Cambridge.*
*Date*: Friday 11th July
*Time*: 2pm to 4.45pm
*Cost*: Free for CILIP or ARLG members, £5 for non-members
Starting at 2pm at Christ’s College <http://www.christs.cam.ac.uk>,
we’ll meet at the Porters’ Lodge for a tour of the historic Old Library.
There’ll be a short walk to the Haddon Library
<http://haddon.archanth.cam.ac.uk/>at the Faculty of Archaeology and
Anthropology, and then finally we’ll move over to the University Library
<http://www.lib.cam.ac.uk/>where we’ll have a tour and, equally
importantly, a chance for refreshments in the Tea Room, courtesy of the
ARLG Eastern committee. The tours will be finished by 4.45pm.
Directions to Christ’s College can be found here
<https://www.christs.cam.ac.uk/college-life/how-get-christs>. Please be
aware that parking at any of these sites is extremely limited. If
driving, we recommend using Cambridge’s Park and Ride service
<http://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/transport/around/park-ride/>.
For more information, or to join us for what promises to be a very
interesting and informative afternoon, please email Charlotte Byrne
<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Places are limited, so reserve yours quickly!
All the best,
Helen
