As many of you will know, management of the Somerset HER is about to be
outsourced to a charitable trust and I'm trying to sort out our use of
Ordnance Survey data. Chris Martin in Clwyd-Powys has already told me
that they have a contractors' licence (from Cadw) but I wondered if any
LA HERs are in a similar position to the one we will be in - providing
HER service while 'ownership' of the HER information remains with a
local authority.
I'm not sure if I want to start thinking about how we might be able to
provide data to third parties but any thoughts on that would also be
welcome.
