Dear Colleagues,
Please announce to your undergraduates completing their studies this year:
Fees-only scholarships for Taught Masters at the University of Glasgow: deadline 23 June!
The School of Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Glasgow is very pleased to announce 8 fees-only scholarships for Taught Masters (1 year full time) courses for next academic year (2014-15).
These new scholarships pay full Home/EU fees: i.e. (£5,350) of UK/EU students (with an equivalent fee reduction for non-EU students). You may only apply if you have received an acceptance (unconditional or conditional) onto your postgraduate programme.
This is an extraordinary opportunity, as the success ratio is likely to be higher than most funding schemes available at present.
The deadline is 23 June 2014.
You can find details of the scholarship competition at http://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/mlc/postgraduatescholarships2014-15/
The scholarships can be used for the MLitt in Comparative Literature, the MLitt in Modern Languages and Cultures or the MSc in Translation Studies. Languages available in the SMLC include Catalan, Czech, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish, and other ancient, medieval and modern languages may be available from other Schools in the College of Arts.
For more information about our courses, and to apply, please see this site: http://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/mlc/postgraduate/
For those in or near Glasgow:
Please note that we will be having an information drop-in session (with wine!) about the Taught Masters degrees (including about the scholarships) next Monday , 9 June at 5pm in the student common room—this is in the Hetherington Building on the ground floor.
