Hello Amy
Sorry that I don't supervise and am not in academia.
However, although it seems you may not need it, I do offer adult DSA
support at doctorate level and am working with a colleague on a doctorate at
the moment, (On disability issues ) So when you are sorted, if you need DSA
or support I am happy to see whether we work well together
Obviously without my colleague's permission I cannot put you in touch, but I
have forwarded your mail to them and so you may get a response. It took a
while to get a supervisor. I will see if they will let me divulge the
university and supervisors. To do so now would enable you to identify the
student...........sure you understand why I can't do that straight away!
Best regards

Subject: Seeking academic mentor
Dear all,
I am a disabled voluntary community worker wanting to return to academia and
do a PhD in disability employment. I am finding it rather hard to get very
far without guidance and would really appreciate some help from someone
willing to put me in touch with potential supervisors or read my proposal.
Happy to do filing or proof reading to make up for any time someone spends
reading/advising me.
Many thanks,
Amy
