Dear all
We had a really interesting London Comm Psych network session last week about how as psychologists/practitioners we can act together to demand the alternatives to austerity, deconstruct the austerity story and stand alongside groups oppressed by austerity measures. Thanks to everyone who came. More information to follow on our action plan.
In the meantime, I thought I'd send out a meeting place in case people would like to march together as a group at the demo on Saturday, if going. You may well have other marching alliances - but just in case...!
I suggest we meet at 12.45pm outside the pub called The Green Man just next to Great Portland St tube station http://www.taylor-walker.co.uk/pub/green-man-euston/c0631/ and we can walk down from there to the overall meeting point outside the BBC.

There are different protest Blocs (eg Trade Unions, Climate Change campaigners etc) and so we can work out where we want to be (eg We Love the NHS Bloc or the Education Bloc etc)
If people want my mobile number please do email me separately. I am going to try and make a banner of some sort so if anyone has any ideas about slogans.. please do email me or generally any other ideas/thoughts!
Final thought - if anyone has any links to media or wants to write a press release too - it would be nice to get in a word about why psychologists are marching!
Many thanks
Sally (London CP Network Co-ordinator)
