The registrations for the next ESRC Research Methods Festival (8-10 July 2014, St Catherine's College, Oxford) are open until 16th June.
This is the biggest social science research methods of the year in the UK. The Festival offers a varied and inspiring programme with over 50 sessions and 200 presenters covering quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods from introductory to advanced level. So far almost 700 people have registered.
Key note talks are by Gary King (Harvard) on ‘Reverse engineering Chinese censorship: social media and research’, Sharlene Hesse-Biber (Boston College) on ‘The Thing-ness problem of mixed methods research’, and Douglas Harper (Duquesne University) on ‘Visual methods: Sociology and beyond’.
