Hello,
You may have already heard that the new draft subject benchmark statement for geography is out for consultation. Details are provided below. The RGS-IBG is encouraging members of research groups (like GFGRG) to respond and send comments directly to Catherine Souch to inform the Society's response (ideally by mid-July) – [log in to unmask]

Subject benchmark statement: Geography - draft for consultation <http://www.qaa.ac.uk/Publications/InformationAndGuidance/Documents/SBS-consultation-geography.pdf>
QAA Benchmark Statement for Geography consultation:
Reponses welcomed from all four UK countries, from staff and students within higher education or from those who have recently left, and from employers, PSRBs and any subject networks or organisations. This consultation aims to gather comment on each section of the benchmark statements and how it sits with current practice in teaching and learning. QAA are also interested to hear about the usability of the documents, including how students and employers would use the subject benchmark statements and whether they are fit for purpose.
Kind regards,
Nichola
