We are frantically searching for anyone who knows a linguistic expert in a minority language spoken in Georgia for a family who are detained in the UK. The language is called Yezidish but may be spelt in alternative ways. I believe the ethnicity is Yezidi (Yesidy) which is a persecuted minority ethnic group in Georgia.
There have been repeated attempts by the legal representatives working for the family to contact one such expert, who has not been responding. As supporters, we are hoping that this list may know where we can look for another.
The family members suffer from mental health issues, and their mental health is rapidly deteriorating while they are being detained. Temporary admission has been sought, and removal directions have thankfully not yet been issued.
We would welcome any advice on where to find an expert of this type, or indeed any other advice at this stage.
Thank you, on behalf of the family.
