Dear all,
Several weeks ago, Kai has sent a call for chairs to formalize a new DCMI Task Group and continue the work on RDF Application Profiles started in the DCMI Architecture Forum [1].
Today we are are happy to report that four people have volunteered and we are now in position to launch a new Task Group!
The organizing team consists of:
* Chair/Co-Chair: Antoine Isaac and Karen Coyle
* Editorial board: Evelyn Dröge and Thomas Bosch
Kai Eckert and Valentine Charles will liaise with DCMI's Technical Board and Community Specifications committee, which define the formal context of the new group.
We will of course always welcome contributions from all group members, especially extra authorship for the reports and recommendations the group wants to deliver.
The Group is originally scheduled to last one year, with calls every two weeks - the default slot is Tuesday at 16:00 Central European Time.
Our first call is planned for June 10; we will send more information on the practical connection details soon.
The agenda of this inaugurating call will mainly consist of getting agreement on the Group charter:

(thanks to Simon, Dan, and the others who gave feedback on the first draft!)
For email communication, we plan to continue using the DC-Architecture mailing list, unless it proves too cumbersome for list subscribers who do not belong to the group.
In the meantime, we would like to invite you to add your name at [1] if you want to appear as a member of the group. We have not planned a more formal membership for the moment. We also assume that all people interested in RDF Application profiles would be interested in this new group, so we have kept the previous list as a starting point.
Should you prefer not to be listed, feel free to remove yourself or send us an email.
Looking forward to working with you all!
Antoine, Karen, Evelyn and Thomas.
