Abstract
GNSS software receiver is GNSS receiver built upon the philosophy of Software Defined Radio (SDR). Compared to their hardware counterparts, these GNSS software receiver are intrinsically more flexible. A brief history of the GNSS software receiver will be given and the author would like to share his experiences in the design, development and test of several different SDR over the years. State of the art and future trends conclude the seminar.
About the Speaker
Dr Xin Zhang is a postdoc with School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He is currently a sponsored researcher with Centre for Transport Studies, Imperial College London. He holds a 2nd level specializing master degree (honours) in Navigation and Related Applications from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, a Ph.D. and M.S. in Guidance, Navigation and Control from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a B.S. degree (honours) in Telecommunications Engineering from Dong Hua University, China. His research interests include vector tracking GPS receivers and INS/GPS deep integration.
