Dear Colleagues,
IET Intelligent Transport Systems is an interdisciplinary journal devoted
to research into the practical applications of ITS and infrastructures. The
IET Intelligent Transport Systems journal calls for papers for a special
issue dedicated to the role of ITS in enhancing transport energy efficiency
and independence from one main energy source.
Scope of the Special Issue:
- Although not limited to these topics, we would particularly welcome
papers on the interaction between ITS and energy efficiency in
conventional, hybrid or electric vehicles:
- optimization in energy consumption related to accurate localisation,
both for road and rail transport;
- optimization of speed at traffic lights in presence of V2I/I2V;
- booking of electric charging areas;
- electric/hybrid traction and energy efficiency related to ITS
availability on motor vehicles;
- energy consumption of traffic flows in presence of WSN and I2V;
- relationship among battery autonomy, vehicle routing and scheduling,
available information and booking;
- freight distribution in urban contexts in presence of local
constraints on emissions and ITS for access control;
- applications related to the diffused introduction of ‘black boxes/ in
motor vehicles for electronic road pricing and other applications
- economic aspects related to user acceptance.
Key Dates: Manuscripts are to be submitted by 4 July 2014, peer-review
results are expected by 15 September 2014 and publication of the Special
Issue will occur in April 2015.
