Unfortunately, despite everyone using cvmfs, and thus software
installs being the same for everyone everywhere, I believe ATLAS, at
least, still use the lcg software tags functionality. (Certainly,
validation jobs still get sent to sites and CEs when they appear.)

...I believe that it is the case that ARGUS will provide the mapping
the CE needs, and thus the gridmapdir is not needed, yes.
(The accounts still are, of course.)
