Dear Colleagues,
Have any of you been asked by HR to call employees and ask if you can try and persuade them to meet?
2 employees recently, both in an educational environment (1 is currently off sick with work-related stress, the other remains at work and is fearful of going off). Following quite a lengthy consultation with both of them, when it came to discussing the mgt referral and the response/reply, both were adamant that I not divulge any factors that they perceive to be causing them to experience symptoms and would not consent to information being released. I spent some time with them explaining that with no information, HR/mgt would have difficutly in acting and addressing their issues in the workplace.
HR have tried on several occassions to make contact with the employee whom is off sick however she is not answering any calls/emails or responding back to their letters. They are going to proceed down a formal route.
They have asked me whether I could contact them to see if I could persuade them to meet one member of HR to discuss their concerns/issues with a view to trying to address it. HR come across tha tthey are very keen to meet with them and understand the issues in the workplace.
Both employees state they do not trust HR and senior management.
Many thanks in advance
