Dear colleagues
The Media School at Bournemouth University is seeking two External Examiners (one for 2014, one for 2015) for its part-time Masters level short course framework. This framework comprises 70 units, in areas such as Animation, Media Production, Marketing Communication, Media Management and Journalism, and includes a recently added suite of courses focused on Creative and Media Education.
Coordinated by the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice, these blended courses are designed for professionals working in the media and creative industries, and form part of Creative Skillset’s Build Your Own MA (BYOMA) national framework (see here for more information: http://byoma.bournemouth.ac.uk).
The External Examiners will be required to review the assessment of a range of units at two points in the academic year, and attend Assessment Boards - usually September and January.
Previous external examining experience is desirable, as is experience of Masters level teaching on courses with an element of research into professional practice.
Please send expressions of interest with a CV to Laura Hampshaw, Finance and Project Manager, Centre for Excellence in Media Practice, The Media School, Bournemouth University ([log in to unmask]).
