Not free, but very affordable, I can thoroughly recommend kashflow, which I
have been using for a small business account for years.

There is a free trial so you can see for yourself. I use it to submit VAT
figures automatically to HMRC, and the customer help is very responsive.
It is all in the cloud so there is no software to install or upgrade, or
backups to process (you can have a monthly data backup emailed to you if
you want).
