Information Specialist and Learning Rep Coordinator
RCN Scotland HQ, Edinburgh, 35 hours per week, Permanent
The role:
With our focus on connecting nursing staff to the knowledge they need and enhancing access to information, this is an exciting time to join the RCN Scotland knowledge and research team to deliver information services to RCN members and coordinate learning representative activity in Scotland.
You will provide virtual and in-person information services, including researching and responding to a wide range of enquiries, and taking our information service out to workplaces. You will support learning rep activity in Scotland, working with colleagues to signpost our learning reps to resources to enable them to promote learning and information where they work.
The person:
To get the most out of this role you will thrive on team work, and enjoy innovative ways of enabling others to access, explore, and learn from knowledge and information. You'll relish delivering expert customer service and supporting creative ways of sharing knowledge.
You will have experience of working in a customer service environment and in service delivery including enquiry services. With excellent information retrieval/literature searching skills, you will have proven skills in responding quickly to requests for information, and planning work to ensure the delivery of a quality service. We are a member organisation, so we will want you to share our commitment to delivering excellent information services and support to frontline nursing staff.
