Wednesday 4th June, 9.45am-4pm, English Faculty Library
An opportunity to explore current trends and techniques in reference
management, covering topics from helping students to institutional
objectives.
The day will include a keynote from Richard Pears, co-author of Cite
Them Right (Palgrave), and will include case-studies from librarians at
FE and HE institutions on how reference management is embedded in
information literacy support. Nicola Dowson from the OU will also
discuss her experience of the REF 2014 exercise.
In addition, there will be a suppliers showcase, with the opportunity to
talk to representatives from EndNote, RefWorks, Mendeley and Citavi.
For those working towards Chartership and other professional
qualifications, the event is expected to be relevant for the following
PKSB Knowledge and Skills Areas: 1.1, 2.2, 3.5, 4.6, 8.6 and 8.7.
