the Institute for German Studies at the University of Birmingham warmly invites you to the next event of its major research project
"Weltanschauungen. The German Past and the Contemporary World: The Domestic and Foreign Politics of Memory".
We are delighted to welcome Professor Marc Silberman and Justin Court from the University of Wisconsin-Madison to Birmingham.
They will share their thoughts on:
"Ethics and the Holocaust"
Papers:
"The Ethics of Teaching Holocaust Violence" (Marc Silberman)
"The Ethics of Viewing Holocaust Violence" (Justin Court)
Discussants: Dr Helmut Schmitz (University of Warwick), Dr Isabel Wollaston (University of Birmingham)
There will then be an open discussion, followed by a wine reception.
