The School of Social Sciences is a newly formed School with a vibrant and diverse community of students, staff, researchers and alumni. The School offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses that cover a broad range of disciplines in Global Studies, Psychosocial studies, and Sociology.
The School is seeking a Dean who can take this exceptional group of academics, known for their leading edge research and teaching, to the next level. A key strategic focus for the Dean will be to establish the School at the forefront of Social Sciences nationally and internationally while developing new areas and programmes for the School. The School has a number of noteworthy research centres and world class academic staff who are looking for leadership to implement the School’s mission by promoting excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
We are seeking a distinguished scholar/academic to provide strategic management and academic leadership to ensure that the School becomes an unrivalled leader in delivering an innovative and socially relevant curriculum. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a strong track record in research and civic engagement, as well as demonstrating significant experience of management ideally in HE (or relevant sectors) and the ability to build sustainable relationships with external organisations.
Professorial Title may be available to suitably qualified applicant.
