Have you a striking image that would work well on a poster for the Explore Your Archive 2014 campaign?
The 2014 Explore Your Archive campaign will take place in the week beginning 10 November 2014 throughout the UK and Ireland. There will be no theme for the 2014 campaign; you can use the look and brand to publicise anything in your collection. We are, however, producing artwork and advice for those who may want to make the First World War the focus of their Explore Your Archive activity.
As previously announced at http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/archives-sector/explore-your-archive-toolkit.htm, we will be creating new posters to add to those produced last year. These will be produced centrally and be offered for download and use.
We’d very much like to hear from you if you feel you have an outstanding visual image that would work well. It can be anything at all, including First World War related. But it must be striking and copyright must be straightforward.
Please send an email to [log in to unmask] with brief details and attach a VERY SMALL copy of the image. Please don’t send large picture files. We’ll get back to you quickly if we want to move ahead; then we can arrange for you to send a full size image.
If you submitted an image for last year’s posters, there’s no need to re-submit that image. We still have those images and will look at them again alongside new suggestions.
Please make sure you’ve put week beginning 10 November in your diary for Explore Your Archive 2014!
Best and thanks
