Data Manager / Senior Research Analyst

A fantastic opportunity has as arisen for a Data / Research Analyst to work for a rapidly-growing, cutting edge health outcomes research company. The company is involved in the analysis and dissemination of data from large-scale, clinical databases and needs to appoint a Data Manager / Senior Analyst to manage the data team as well as actively participating in research studies as Senior Analyst.
With a real passion for data analysis & quantitative research, the Data Manager / Senior Analyst will work alongside the research team on the analytical requirements necessary to provide key insights into large clinical datasets.
Using their experience and knowledge of database modelling, the Data Manager / Senior Analyst, will develop and administer the in-house data environment; managing, maintaining and driving process improvements and practice.
The candidate will have exceptional analytical ability using SQL & will preferably have some experience or knowledge of SAS or SPSS. They will have solid (at least 5 years) relational database experience and a demonstrable ability to manipulate data and critically analyse the outputs.
Key skills should include exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and the ability to think ahead. A clear understanding of and the ability to adhere to quality procedures for analysis, are fundamental prerequisites for this role.
Knowledge and experience working with either NHS UK Read Codes, WHO medical coding dictionaries and MEDRA drug dictionaries would be desirable.
