The re-vamped PETT website means we are able to bring more, and more
quickly, out of the archives and into the public discussion. If there's
anyone out there with time to volunteer, or has a spare thousand pounds
or two to help someone else, you can add immeasurably to the process.
In the meantime, hot off the scanner:

"A Visit to the Henderson Hospital (1968)". The first of two typescripts
by David Kennard from his travels around the early British TCs world.
"In February 1968, during his first year at Long Grove Hospital as a
probationer clinical psychologist, David Kennard spent just under two
weeks at the Henderson Hospital in London, the pioneering therapeutic
community in adult psychiatry. How he came to hear of the Henderson and
how he came to arrange the visit he doesn't remember: but it was an
immensely important experience, which shaped his subsequent career.
These fifteen pages are his typescript and manually annotated notes of
the visit, written at the time.
"In 1983, fifteen years later, his influential "An Introduction to
Therapeutic Communities" was published by Routledge and Kegan Paul in
the International Library of Group Psychotherapy and Group Process
series. An equally influential new edition was published by Jessica
Kingsley in 1998."
