Hello
This is just a reminder that submissions for the next issue of SHCG News are now due in a fortnight, on Friday 25 April.
At this stage, I would particularly welcome brief news and topical information for inclusion in the 'Bulletin Board' section, and if anyone fancies doing a short review of an exhibition, gallery or book/resource, please also get in touch with me directly, off-list ([log in to unmask])
If you would like to consider contributing to the 'Theory & Practice' or 'Object Focus' sections, I would also be happy to hear your ideas. Please see below for further info.
Many thanks
Adam

Dear all
The submissions deadline for the next issue of SHCG News is now four
weeks away, on Friday 25 April 2014.
I would be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to submit brief
news and topical information for inclusion in the 'Bulletin Board'
section; a review of an exhibition, gallery or book; or a short article
for the regular 'Theory & Practice' and 'Object Focus' sections.
Perhaps you'd like to tell readers about a recent exhibition or project
in which you were involved, or write about your favourite item from the
collections?
It could be that recent events have made you want to open up debate on a
particular topic relevant to social history in museums, or the sector in
general?
Maybe you'd even like to write in response to something you read about
in the last issue, or which was raised as part of a discussion on the
ever popular SHCG e-mail list?
Whatever inspires you to submit information or a short article, I'd love
to hear from you!
Information for the Bulletin Board can be submitted in the form of a
press release or a few paragraphs of text (if the latter, up to a
maximum of 300 words).
Reviews and Object Focus submissions can be around 400-500 words (one
page) or 900-1,000 words (two pages). Theory & Practice articles should
be 900-1,000 words.
If you'd like to submit something for the next issue, please email me at
your earliest convenience so I can pencil in your submission.
Many thanks, I'll look forward to hearing from you.
