The US National Library of Medicine and the Wellcome Library are joining forces to digitise another tranche of historical medical journals and make them available via PubMed Central.
The full title list hasn't yet been finalised but will include titles related to the Wellcome Library’s current mental health archive digitisation project such as Mental Health, Mental Hygiene, and the Journal of Psychological Medicine and Mental Pathology.
Other journals have been selected for their general relevance, such as the Indian Medical Gazette, the British and Foreign Medico-Chirurgical Review and the Transactions of the Epidemiological Society of London.
All journals will be indexed at article level.
Work will start later this year and be completed by 2017.
