2nd International Incident Disclosure Conference York,
England 12-13th May 2014
Merchant Adventurers Hall, York, UK
Incident disclosure is now a widely accepted and promoted principal in healthcare which may re-establish patients’ and relatives’ trust in the system, support clinical processes being made safer, and prevent organisations and individuals from entering into time-consuming complaints resolution and expensive legal processes. However the evidence suggests that disclosure conversations are often still limited and guarded.
The Second International Incident Disclosure Conference in York welcomes all interested stakeholders in exploring new evidence, current thinking and lively debate around models and practice of incident disclosure.
Plenary speakers include:
Professor Rick Iedema. Agency of Clinical Innovation, New South Wales Ministry of Health, Australia and University of Sydney
Professor Lodewijk Smeehuijzen. VU University Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Peter Walsh AvMA Chief Executive, Action Against Medical Accidents
