*1. Digital Learning Officer (£24,892 to £26,539 pro rata; fixed term
until Mar. 2015)*
My Learning is a website hosting free learning resources from arts, culture
and heritage organisations across the UK. The site is managed by Leeds
Museums and Galleries through the Arts Council England Major Museum
Partners programme.
We need a talented individual with the right experience to support this
work who can:
- Develop and deliver quality content for the My Learning website that
is relevant to the target audience, working with the teacher's panel
- Maintain and develop content for the website and social media
channels, develop new opportunities for utilising new media, e-marketing
and social media, and to keep abreast of new trends and technologies as
they emerge
- Develop and nurture partnerships with a range of organisations to
publish, optimize and promote their content for a formal learning audience
- Set up and deliver a competition for schools promoting creativity and
interpretation of heritage and cultural assets hosted on
www.mylearning.org.

*2. Digital Media Manager (£29,528 to £32,072; fixed term until Sep. 2014)*
The use of digital media in our service has grown over recent years and in
some areas this work has been pioneering. We are looking for someone with
vision and experience of digital technology in a culture or heritage
environment to help us to increase our use of digital media to engage
audiences in new and innovative ways with our sites, collections and
activities.
Are you a talented and experienced individual with a passion for digital
technology and its use to enhance the museum visitor experience? If so we
want you to lead our digital programme, specifically:
- To co-ordinate and implement a service-wide multimedia strategy for
the service.
- To review existing systems and plan for the future taking into account
the short, medium and long term needs looking at how LMG might best exploit
digital technology to manage our information and engage audiences with our
service.
- To work with corporate ICT and Corporate Communications to develop and
manage the new website.
- To keep abreast of new developments in digital media and to apply
these tools to engaging and communicating with our audiences with our sites
and collections.
- To take a lead on the development of the national MyLearning website.
- To be a lead on IPR and Copyright policy development and
implementation.
