At RAMM we keep things simple so we can cope!
We have a contact page in the website header.
The form helps filter the enquiries. http://www.rammuseum.org.uk/contact-us/
All of our admin team (two staff and a volunteer) have access to the emails.
Emails are recorded on arrival and responses noted. This is simply done in a spreadsheet with the Admin team copied in to the reply.
We have a simple agreement that all enquiries must be answered within seven days. This allows for other commitments and time taken to the find the answer.
Connected to this is asking anyone wanting to come in to speak to staff to do this on a Tuesday.
Our telephone enquiries via our reception are handled in a similar manner.
Since our website went live in 2009 we have seen an increase in web based enquiries - from three a week to two or more a day.
