SUNCAT - Serials UNion CATalogue for the UK research community
We are delighted to welcome two new SUNCAT contributing libraries - Brunel University (http://www.brunel.ac.uk/services/library) and the National Museums of Scotland (https://www.nms.ac.uk/collections__research/museum_libraries.aspx). These additions bring the total number of contributing libraries to 95, plus the CONSER database, the ISSN register and the Directory of Open Access Journals.
Brunel is a research-led university located in Uxbridge, West London, and founded back in 1966. Research strengths range from engineering to education, science to IT, psychology to law, sociology to business, as well as embracing new areas - the performing arts, journalism, environmental science, sport and health. Brunel University also houses eight renowned Specialist Research Institutes. The University Library has supplied SUNCAT with nearly 68,000 serials records for both print and electronic titles.
National Museums Scotland has two major libraries located in Edinburgh offering collections and services to support the research and learning needs of Museum staff, visitors, and the wider external research community. Its Research Library, founded 230 year ago and situated in the National Museum of Scotland, is the largest museum library in Scotland, with outstanding collections in archaeology and world-wide decorative arts. There is also a library located in the National War Museum of Scotland, within the walls of Edinburgh Castle. Its collections include monographs and journals on all aspects of Scottish military history since the 1600s. We have loaded just under 4,000 serial records from National Museums Scotland to our service.
