At University of Manchester we are in the process of tagging and programming all of our bookstock in order to implement RFID over the summer. We are investing in new self issue machines and security gates for all sites. We are trying to decide what to do with our existing equipment that works on barcode technology.
We would be interested to hear from anyone who thinks that they could use them.
Or if you have removed older equipment, how did you get it removed and what did you do with it? Ideally we would like to sell the equipment but realise that we may have to settle for recycle or reuse.
