Call for abstracts: Emerging and New Researchers in the Geographies of Health and Impairment conference 2014
The deadline for the call for papers for the 2014 ENRGHI conference has been extended to Friday the 11th of April!
The longstanding conference has attracted an international audience and welcomes abstracts from researchers in and outside of geography disciplines who are involved in research in health or health care within a social, geographical or environmental context. The 2014 conference will be co-hosted by University of Portsmouth and University of Southampton and will be held on the 19th and 20th June 2014 in the city of Portsmouth.
We are delighted to announce that three keynote speakers have been confirmed for ENRGHI 2014:
• Dr Andrew Tatem (University of Southampton). Andrew is director of the AfriPop, AsiaPop, AmeriPop, Vector-borne Disease Airline Importation Risk and Human Mobility Mapping research projects.
• Dr Andy Power (University of Southampton). Andy is a lecturer in human geography and was a researcher at the Centre for Disability Law and Policy at the National University of Ireland.
• Dr Geoff DeVerteuil (University of Cardiff). Geoff is a lecturer in human geography, with research interests in urban geography, geographies of inequality and mental health geographies
We can also confirm a session on how to publish in peer reviewed academic journals will be hosted by Ann Corney, the executive publisher at Elsevier.
The new deadline for abstract submission is 5pm GMT, Friday 11th April 2014.
