italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear All
Graduate students in comparative literature and cultural studies will be interested in this year’s edition of "Synapsis: European Summer School for Comparative Studies, hosted by the International Network for Comparative Humanities (INCH):
http://www.unisi.it/synapsis/englishversion/synapsismaineng.htm
Students and tutors reside, study and dine in the Certosa of Pontignano, a stunning Renaissance monastery in the Chianti area, surrounded by woods, olive groves, orchards and farmhouses, and just 8km from Siena.
The one-week, intensive course brings together scholars from Europe, North America, and beyond. Students choose between small-group, intensive seminars in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German. All lectures will be in English, and no knowledge of Italian is required.
