project MEDI_TER
Laboratory for digital control of the modifications of the Mediterranean territory
The purpose of the workshop is to build a database of models for the preservation of the architectural sites of the Mediterranean.
The MEDI_TER is proposed as a laboratory for studying the processes of incorporation and morphological invariants of the Mediterranean city through the measurement and analysis of the transformative processes for the documentation of identity values . The goal is to represent the complexity of the Mediterranean environment through the creation of digital models navigable and searchable by all architectures and territories that characterize the Mediterranean area , from the monument to the city, in order to highlight the processes of incorporation and the invariants .
AIMS ' PROJECT
- Promote and support the socio-economic development of the Mediterranean region by implementing a strategy aimed at the enhancement of their cultural heritage ( historical, archaeological, environmental ) locally and internationally, to promote and activate the processes of integration with the European regions providing new opportunities for harmonize the cultural, political, religious .
- Making visible and accessible locations and historical testimonies that have marked the becoming of the Mediterranean civilizations , revisiting their contribution to the progress of humanity. Structuring activity of technology transfer and applied research related to the field of interdisciplinary "Smart Culture and Tourism " with the objective to promote, through the use of emerging technologies , the development of applications of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) sometimes , relief , cataloging and digital preservation , dissemination , disclosure ee sustainability of the archaeological, architectural and intangible values of the Mediterranean area
- Improving local economies and the ability ' attractiveness of the territories.
- Demonstrate how the relationship between smart city and cultural heritage is a field of experimentation of excellence for our country .
- Open new achievements on the level of understanding and knowledge of the history of mankind and increase the supply of usable goods locally .
