The Cognitive Science Department of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is looking for a Lecturer in Neuroscience to begin in the Fall.

The Department of Cognitive Science in the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for a non-tenure track fixed-term appointment Lecturer of Neuroscience. We are seeking candidates whose areas of specialization or competency includes cognitive neuroscience, behavioral neuroscience, or computational neuroscience. The Department of Cognitive Science offers unique opportunities for students to focus on the scientific study of mind, brain, and intelligence, and is home to cognitive scientists, psychologists, computer scientists, and philosophers whose teaching and research complements Rensselaer's traditional strengths in science, engineering, and technology. The Department offers B.S. degrees in Philosophy, Psychology, and Cognitive Science, and has a highly selective Ph.D. program in Cognitive Science. The Department contributes to an interdisciplinary curriculum in neuroscience at the undergraduate level.
The successful candidate will have a record of achievement teaching and researching in neuroscience, and will teach courses in both behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, and, if the candidate's background suits, computational neuroscience. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated successful teaching experience at the collegiate level. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or foreign-degree equivalent in an in Neuroscience or an appropriate related field of study.
