Hi Gero,
Would you be willing to wait until next Tuesday? We could then have a conference call with Peter Chang whom has also worked with py4j (Peter is on leave until then). The other person experienced with py4j (and in fact whom introduced it to me) is Olof Svensson from the ESRF, but he has not used it with the fitting and plotting I think.
Sincerely,
Matt

Subject: [DAWN-DEV] peak finding/fitting from Python
Dear all,
I am further investigating the possibilities of using DAWN's Python scripting for analysis. This analysis involves fitting, so I'd like to see whether py4j can help to close the gap that SciSoft fitting is only possible with Jython. Also peak finding could be relevant.
Can someone help me with that 'adventure'?
First I would need to know what are the Java classes involved in the fitting tools, e.g. peak fitting and function fitting?
Then I will see whether I manage to access these using
py4jutils.get_gateway() from uk.ac.diamond.scisoft.python scisoftpy.python
Thanks for help!
Gero
