We have recently added new material to the free, public Research Resources web page of the department of Film, Theatre & Television at the University of Reading. There is a lengthy interview with Verity Lambert, sadly now deceased, who produced Doctor Who, Rock Follies, The Naked Civil Servant and Widows, among other things. There is also an interview with Irene Shubik, who produced Out of This World, Out of the Unknown, Wessex Tales and Rumpole of the Bailey, for example. These interviews were conducted at Reading conferences some years ago and we plan to add more such material in due course.
The Research Resources page also includes free goodies such as interviews with 26 actors about performing real people on stage and screen, guides to the Arts Council's theatre archives, access to the journal Movie, and searchable databases listing pretty much every TV drama broadcast on the main UK channels from 1955 to 1994.
The link to all of this is http://www.reading.ac.uk/ftt/research/ftt-researchresources.aspx
We also blog about our research into television drama here: http://blogs.reading.ac.uk/spaces-of-television/
