Dear all,
The Physiological Measurement Special Interest Group (IPEM) would like to obtain the numbers of registered Clinical Scientists working in the ACS defined sub-speciality Clinical Engineering, Physiological Measurement & Computing.
With changes to the training of Clinical Scientists in Medical Physics and Engineering and national workforce planning projects looking to shape the future requirements of scientists in hospitals across the UK, it is really important that we have an accurate idea of those working in our area. Through showing the numbers of staff and the diversity of our roles, along with the positive impact that we have our the Trusts (particularly in terms of innovation), we can take steps to show the value of these roles, with the aim of safeguarding them in the future.
The PMSIG would really appreciate it if you would take a couple of minutes to answer the following quick questions:
1. What year did you become a registered Clinical Scientist?
For those who were grandfathered onto the HPC register at the time of the creation of ACS, please put 2005
2. Please tick one area from the selection below that best describes your main area of work:
Equipment management / Medical Engineering / Medical Device Management
Rehabilitation engineering
