A vacancy has become available at Liverpool Philharmonic for a Curator. This is a part time(2 days per week) fixed term (1 year) contract working within the Marketing/Communications Department.
The Curator will be responsible for selecting, organising and describing the archival exhibition content for the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s 175th Anniversary Archive Exhibition at Liverpool Central Library, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. There is an extensive archive of material catalogued and held by Liverpool Central Library to draw from.
He/she will also work with a design team on the physical design of the exhibition, in conjunction with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s Head of Communications.
He/she will also manage the production of oral histories that will feature in the exhibit, drawing on the recollections of musicians, audiences, staff and stakeholders.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
The salary for this post will be £12,000 per annum. Closing date for applications is 17 April, 2014.
