Heritage Collections Manager and Assistant Archivist
Permanent archivist roles based in central London, annual bonus scheme plus benefits.
This year BT marks the 30th anniversary of its privatisation. But our origins go back much further, to the beginning of telecommunications technology in the first part of the nineteenth century. As the world’s oldest communications company, BT is proud of its rich heritage of over 150 years of technological innovation. Our archives which reflect this are recognised by UNESCO and Arts Council England as world class and a significant part of the UK’s cultural heritage.
We are now seeking to appoint two qualified archivists within the BT Heritage & Archives team to help manage our heritage collections, with a particular focus on widening access through improved finding aids. Both roles require the relevant professional archives qualifications, and familiarity with current professional practice and standards.
